I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This is EXACTLY what we were looking for AND some !! People flock here for good reason! Someone else picked up our catfish dinners and after they realized that, they remade our entire order so that everything was fresh and hot and they brought desserts and drinks for the inconvenience and STILL asked if there was anything else they could get the kids or us.. the owner came out to us him self. It really was a great experience and so family oriented. The customer service is some of the best weve ever had and we go alot of places from neighborhood grills to the most upscale steak houses in the city and this little humble place was one of the best yet!!!! I got the smothered pork chops with mashed potatoes and gravy and my boyfriend ordered the smothered chicken with greens and yams, the kids got the catfish and it was so good and I dont eat catfish at all. It wasnt fishy at all and it was crispy and fresh. We will most definitely return.. They are only open ON Sundays fyi. I'm sad that we can only go once a week .

Had it for the first time yesterday. Servings were so generous I had plenty leftover and just ate it for an early dinner. Hubby and I ordered smothered chicken and I got the Mac and yams. He got green beans and greens. Everything was so good. But the best part was the AMAZING customer service. Such nice peope!!! The ONLY thing that wasn't excellent was the cornbread but maybe it was just a bad batch. We will definitely be back now that we found this gem!

The atmosphere is like grandma's house after church. The smells are amazing before you even get to the counter to order. The hospitality of the workers is above and beyond. We felt very welcomed. Someone greeted us with a smile and made sure we were well taken care of. The food.....words can not express. The fish was cooked to perfection the greens, southern fried potatoes, and Mac n cheese WOW! With added tomatoes and onions and a roll. We will return and I definitely recommend you go if you love soul food.
